What Access Does HostDudes Need?

Here is exactly what HostDudes needs to host your node, what we never ask for, and how to stay safe during setup.

The short version

We only need setup details, a billing email, and any ecosystem-specific API key or identifier required for your node. We do not need wallet access, seed phrases, private keys, or wallet connections.

  1. 1

    What we ask for

Onboarding happens in a private Discord ticket, so your details stay out of public channels. To prepare your machine, we ask for:

    • How many of each node you want to run
    • An email address for invoicing
    • Any API key or identifier your ecosystem requires
    • Where an ecosystem or referral payout requires one, a public wallet receiving address — never wallet access

If you are not sure where to find something, we will walk you through it in your ticket.

  2. 2

    What we never ask for

HostDudes will never ask for your seed phrase, recovery phrase, the private key that controls your wallet, your wallet login, or a wallet connection.

Some ecosystems issue a node key or API key that the project may even call a "private key" — those are node credentials, not wallet access, and they are the only kind we ask for.

If anyone claiming to be HostDudes asks for wallet access, stop and open a ticket in the official Discord server.

  3. 3

    What you do yourself

Some ecosystems require wallet actions after we prepare your machine. You complete those steps yourself on the official ecosystem site, using your own wallet.

Our LFG guide can help with adding a node on the LFG Dashboard.

  4. 4

    Billing and support

We handle the setup and ping you once your node is live. After you confirm it is online, we send your first invoice by email through Xero. You can pay with PayPal or with a credit or debit card through Stripe.

For hosting, billing, and support questions, use a ticket in the official Discord server. Be careful with unexpected direct messages, since scammers sometimes impersonate support teams.
